Two armed assailants attacked a police station in Istanbul's Dolmabahçe Palace on Wednesday. A policeman has been slightly injured. Two suspects have been captured close to Taksim square in connection with the attack. Police stated that they believed the suspects to be members of the far-left Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C).
Enes Bayraklı, a foreign policy researcher at SETA, who joined TRTWorld News on August 14, gave significant information about DHKP-C.
DHKP-C is a marginal radical organization which in the past had some kind of relationship with the PKK. However today they are in a strong competition,” Bayraklı added.
