As the dust is far from settling in the Middle East, Turkey takes the stage to protect its territorial integrity, political independence and national security against DAESH (ISIS) and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
To this end, Turkish airstrikes have followed intensifying ISIS attacks against the Syrian coalition groups near the Turkish border, and the change in the rhetoric and behavior of the designated terrorist group PKK towards Turkey.
