Following the June 7 national elections in Turkey, the HDP represents the mainstream of Turkish political atmosphere, said Ataman. The AK Party has contributed to the normalization process, initiated the peace process and held direct or indirect negotiations with the Kurds. But now, the ball is on the HDP’s court to take more responsibility and facilitate the process.
