This Special Issue will focus on the current situation and future of migration policy across the globe. More specifically, the issue will cover how climate change is currently effecting international and domestic migration policies, as well as what the impacts may be in the future. We hope to publish articles that examine international and national policies pertinent to human mobility, displacement, migration and refuge from a variety of scholarly disciplines, techniques, and theoretical views in the context of climate change and its effects on human population. Scientific research on the nexus between climate change and migration has increased dramatically in recent years. Understanding and improving the status of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees under the light of current global developments requires insights from different fields and viewpoints. Of these developments, the climate change is anticipated to have the largest impact on human migration around the world in significantly different ways than is currently perceived. This special issue, featuring essays by notable researchers, will investigate the relationship between climate change and migration policy through historical, scientific, and legal overviews, as well as case studies from different parts of the world.
