Panel: Turkish Origin Children Seized by the German Youth Welfare Office

The claims that many children of Turkish and Muslim origin living in Germany have been unjustly seized from their families by the German Youth Welfare Office frequently come to the agenda. These claims brought up by the Turks in diaspora from time to time. Petitions of complaints against the Youth Welfare Office are also subject to the reports of the European Parliament. In this context SETA will organize a panel titled “Turkish Origin Children Seized by the German Youth Welfare Office”. Dr. Enes Bayraklı (SETA Brussels Coordinator) will lead the panel in company of Prof. Dr. Hacı Halil Uslucan (Director of Foundation Centre for Studies on Turkey and Integration Research), Dr. Fikret Yaman (Expert at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services), Savaş Çalışır (Social Pedagogue and Father whose Child Seized in Germany) and Zeliha Eliaçık (SETA Researcher).
