The PKK is threatened by the rise of politicians' influence over Kurdish citizens, which means the terrorist organization will eventually lose its presence in the region.

The HDP fails to be a political party owing to its support to the PKK. Hence, Kurdish citizens have to remind the party of the difference between a party and a terrorist organization for the future of the reconciliation process.

According to Bayraklı, PKK and DHKP-C are the causes behind the rise of the nationalism in Turkey, as a result of which the AK Party’s votes might lessen in the early election.

There were two additional reasons, which deserve attention. One is short-term considerations and the second is ideological differences.

The developments following the elections and breakdown of the reconciliation process demonstrated that the HDP's unprecedented success in the elections was indeed a pyrrhic victory.

Talha Köse elaborated that the PKK has used Rojava, Kobani and Suruç attacks as a pretext to mobilize armed groups on the ground.

Assistant Professor Bayraklı said that the majority of the Kurdish population voted for the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) to back-up the peace process. But, the PKK misinterpreted the June 7 election results as a clear approval of their policies, and exploited the peace process.
