What kind of training should interns expect?
The basic training approach of SETA Brussels is learning by experience and learning by doing. In this context, interns will actively get involved in the ongoing research. They will take part in seminars and in discussion groups during their internship, and will contribute to reporting, literature research, media monitoring, and to the organization of events such as seminars, panels, workshops, roundtable discussions and symposiums.
Is this internship program paid?
SETA Brussels limits the number of interns to twelve. After the interviews, eight interns will be accepted on an unpaid basis and four will be paid. Interns who complete the internship program successfully will get a certificate.
Where does the internship take place?
The internship will take place at the SETA Brussels office. Students who apply for the internship are responsible for their own accommodation and, if necessary, for their visa application.
When is the internship? What are the working hours and when is the deadline for the application?
The internship program will be between May and September 2019; it will last four months. If the interns face any problems concerning their visa or other unforeseen circumstances, they can join the internship program at a later date upon agreement with SETA Brussels. Unpaid interns are expected to work part-time in the office; paid interns will work full-time in the office during working hours (weekdays only).
How to apply
Candidates should submit their applications via the official SETA website by filling out the online form for the internship program. Applications received by email either by the SETA director or SETA staff will not be considered. Interviews will be conducted via Skype.
