Sümeyye Özdemir graduated from Boğaziçi University, Early Childhood Education undergraduate program with honors in 2019. Then, she completed Boğaziçi University Guidance and Psychological Counseling undergraduate scientific preparation program and graduated from Boğaziçi University Guidance and Psychological Counseling master's program with honors in 2023 with her thesis examining the experiences of parents of children undergoing cancer treatment. During her master's degree, she provided individual and group counseling services to university students at Boğaziçi University Guidance and Psychological Counseling Center (BÜREM). In order to develop her professional competence, she participated in many national and international trainings and conferences in the field of education and psychological counseling and continues her internationally accredited education in these fields. She continues her academic education at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Guidance and Psychological Counseling Doctorate program, where she was accepted with a full scholarship. Her special interests are the mental health of disadvantaged groups and the individual and group counseling processes of these groups.
