Gülşah Neslihan Akkaya worked as a research assistant at Foreign Policy Directorate, SETA. She received BA degrees in International Relations and Sociology (double major) from Fatih University in 2010. She received her MA degree from the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University, Sweden with the thesis titled “Re-Emergence of the Islamic Opposition in Syria: the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood”. She continues her researches on the Persian Gulf countries.
