İsmet Horasanlı

İsmet Horasanlı received his Bachelor’s degree from Uludag University Department of İnternational Relations. He completed his Master’s degree at the same University by working on a thesis titled “Iranian Foreign Policy towards the Gulf Region After the Islamic Revolution.” He attended “CIEE Civic Leadership Summit Program” in Washington DC in 2014, then he was chosen as a “Change Maker” in this program. He worked at IRAM Center between 2017-2021. He received his second Master’s degree from AYBU/Institute for International Relations and Strategic Studies (IIRSR) with the thesis titled “The Rise of ISIS in Afghanistan: Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K).” His research mainly focuses on Iranian foreign policy, the Gulf, and Afghanistan. Horasanlı interned at SETA Berlin for a semester. He is currently working at SETA Ankara. He speaks fluent English, Turkish, Farsi, intermediate Pashto, and Arabic.
