SETA Brussels ASBL will be hosting a workshop in Brussels on November 18, 2022, aimed at understanding the dynamics regarding the current developments and the future of the Organization of Turkic States. The workshop aims to foster intellectual discussion which will result in a vision about the future of the European Union - Turkic States relations.
This workshop, co-organized by Turkey’s leading think tank SETA Foundation and Heydar Aliyev Eurasian Research Center at Ibn Haldun University, intends to bring experts from various backgrounds to explore the possibilities of strategic dialogue and opportunities for cooperation in multiple fields. Cooperation opportunities between the European Union and the Organization of Turkic States will be explored in energy, security, economy, and other strategic fields. The workshop will be, at the same time, a networking opportunity for experts from different countries.
At a time when region and the world face various conflicts and security risks, the participants will discuss whether the EU and the OTS can develop a common strategic vision and create a shared crisis response. To support and facilitate a possible cooperation process, it will be discussed who the potential actors will be and to what extent they will contribute to the process.
